A week of bad decisions and suppressed fertility despair yielding a bad, bad weight. It's hard to make vacation agree with diet, unless vacation, I suppose, is specifically fitness, but the biking was bad--dangerous, rainy, and solid hill after solid hill--and while I did some I found myself more often staying inside and doing some serious eating.
On the way home we stopped in New Paltz for lunch. I wanted to go to a bookstore. [Wife] told me we'd been there before, and when we arrived I realized we had, but before we got there I had no memory of the place. Then we pulled into the parking spot and I remembered. Theory: That my memory used to be better because everything was about me and where I was. Now that it's about [Wife] and how she's doing memory functions differently. Still, it unnerves me not to remember everything right away. Getting old.
